If you've made it this far, you surely know that Icaraizinho de Amontada is one of the most visited destinations in Ceará. Between the rustic charm of the village, the constant wind, the warm waters of the sea, and the preserved natural scenery, the place offers much more than beautiful landscapes: it offers an experience.
To fully experience it, you'll need at least a weekend. But if you only have one day to explore Icaraizinho, we've put together this itinerary to optimize your time and ensure you get the most out of your destination.

Before you go: quick and important tips
Distance : Icaraizinho is about 3 hours from Fortaleza.
Where to stay : the central area of Icaraizinho is home to restaurants, guesthouses, and nightlife. It's advisable to book well in advance, as the area gets very crowded during peak season in June, July, August, December, January, and February.
Best time to visit : the destination is open year-round, but the natural lagoons are fullest between January and June, after the rainy season.
The tours in the region are divided into two main areas:
West: Leads to the Moitas district and the boat trip along the Aracatiaçu River;
East: Leads to Caetanos Beach and the famous Lençóis Cearenses.

Morning
Flecheiras Lagoon
Start at Lagoa de Flecheiras , an excellent spot for swimming and lunch. The lagoon has calm, warm waters and several beachside kiosks, ideal for relaxing at your own pace.
One of the best known is Barraca Crôa dos Ventos , which stands out for its service and facilities.

Afternoon
Boat trip along the Aracatiaçu River (Moitas)
Next, head to the Moitas district to take the traditional boat trip along the Aracatiaçu River, one of the most beautiful activities in the region.
The itinerary usually includes:
Tunnel of Love : a natural passageway through the mangroves, surrounded by red crabs (aratus) and abundant vegetation.
Lagoa da Cobra : a stop for a refreshing swim, and they have a really good caipirinha.
Oyster Island : a rustic spot for photos, fresh oysters, coconut water, lobster, and shrimp.
S-Curve : a dune famous for its river-like shape when viewed from above, perfect for watching the sunset.
Average tour duration: 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Late afternoon/Evening: Icaraizinho beach and village
Back in Icaraizinho, enjoy the beach around Noé Praciano Square. It's the most developed area of the village, with beach bars, restaurants, and calm, shallow water for several meters, ideal for swimming and relaxing.
This is the perfect time to:
Cool off with ice cream from Casa de Pedra (main street) and/or gelato from San Paolo Gelato.
Walking through the village
Having a drink by the sea.
Feel the tranquil rhythm of the place.
Dinner in the town center.
To end the day, choose a restaurant in the center of the village. Great options are Moinho dos Ventos and Brisa Bistrô , known for their good food and cozy atmosphere, both very well rated by visitors. Another good option is to sample the flavors at the street market in Praça Noé Praciano.

Yes. Even with limited time, Icaraizinho de Amontada offers a complete experience: preserved nature, good food, unique landscapes, and a relaxing atmosphere that is hard to find in more touristy destinations.
If you can, stay longer. But if you only have one day, this itinerary guarantees you'll leave wanting to come back.
